According to Early Police Chief David Mercer, a traffic stop led to the arrest of a woman and seizure of K2 and crack cocaine on Wednesday.
EPD officer Stephanie Haile made a stop on a minivan for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of Highway 183N at approximately 5:45 AM Wednesday. According to Mercer, Haile developed probable cause to search the vehicle and located a bag of K2 substance.
Haile checked further and located a bag containing a quantity of crack cocaine Mercer said. The crack cocaine was field tested and weighed. The preliminary weight was 188 grams with a street value of over $19,000, according to Mercer.
The driver, identified as 23-year-old Catarina Robledo of Waelder, Texas was charged with manufacturing and delivery of controlled substance penalty group 2, a 1st degree felony.
