Early Police Department was presented a $3,000 check from Texas Department of Transportation as an incentive award winner Thursday, November 19th.
TxDOT conducted an Incentive Award program to engage non-funded law enforcement agencies statewide. The goal of the program was to increase the number of law enforcement agencies participating in the Memorial Day Click It or Ticket campaign. The Incentive Awards program offered all non-funded Texas law enforcement agencies statewide the chance at being selected to receive a $3,000 award that could be used for the purchase of traffic safety equipment and\or training.
A total of 133 law enforcement agencies registered and reported this year. To be eligible for the random drawing, law enforcement agencies were required to increase Seat Belt and Child Safety Seat enforcement as well as conduct earned media efforts and report the results at the campaign’s conclusion.
