Brownwood News – The Early Police Department responded to the following calls for service last week.
12/20 Officers working security at a basketball game broke up a fight between 2 male individuals. The fight apparently started over a girl. Officers arrested a 17 year-old from Early for assault.
12/20 Stolen Cell phone. 130 Sudderth
12/21 Officer Tasha Tobias stopped a vehicle for speeding on Hanson Lane. When she approached the vehicle a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and located marijuana along with drug paraphernalia and a handgun in the vehicle. A woman from Ft Worth was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful carrying of a Weapon. Another woman of Ft Worth was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were taken to the Brown County Jail.
Other arrest for outstanding warrants were made in separate traffic stops. Two men, both from Early, were both arrested on outstanding warrants from other agencies after being stopped for traffic violations. Both were released to the Brown county jail.
12/22 Report of stolen vehicle on Bonnie Ave. vehicle was later located wrecked on Williams Drive. The owner was questioned further and admitted vehicle was not stolen. Charges of False report will be filed with County Attorney
12/22 Criminal Mischief call dispute between neighbors. 130 Sudderth
12/23 Burglary of storage building – 500 Blk Garmon
