Thursday afternoon, Early Police Sgt. Shawn Dibrell served a warrant for the arrest of 43-year-old Robin Annette Pulliam, who is suspected of robbing Scott’s Western Wear recently.  Dressed in plain clothes, Dibrell arrived at the woman’s home in Dublin with assistance from two Erath County Deputies who waited down the road in case she tried to run.  Dibrell knocked on the door and was allowed by Pulliam’s roommate to enter the home just in time to see the suspect running out the back door according to Early Police.  After a short foot chase, the woman was caught, struggled briefly and then was handcuffed.

Police stated that later officers met with Pulliam at the Brown County Jail where she was interviewed.  During the questioning, Pulliam confessed to going to Scott’s Western Wear on December 15, 2009 in a white cadillac with a male companion whom she stated was not involved in the robbery in anyway according to police.

According to police reports, she further explained that she had gone to the clothing section and placed the shirt in her purse.  She was then approached by a male employee who asked if she had a pair of boots that did not belong to her.  The employee tried to keep her from leaving by blocking her path; however, she was able to exit the store, getting into the car with the man.  The male employee, then assisted by a female employee, tried to keep Pulliam from closing her driver’s side door.  In earlier reports, it was noted that Pulliam had endangered the store employees with the car which she claims to be false.

Police reports indicate that during questioning, Pulliam also confessed that she has a drug problem, an addiction to money, and has been involved with a large theft ring that sells in order to get money for drugs. Pulliam reportedly boasted of people placing orders for items that she would then steal and sell for half their retail value.  She allegedly did most of her shoplifting in Weatherford and Granbury and also confessed to taking items from stores in Early, San Angelo, and several other states as well according to police reports.

Reports show that Pulliam stated the main reason she continued to steal was due to her drug addiction.  She noted having used hundreds of dollars of “ICE” during the last three days and claimed to have asked numerous times for treatment for both of her addictions.

When Sgt. Dibrell had asked her how much money all of the items were worth that she had stolen in the past three years, she stated $150,000 according to police reports.  Pulliam also told police that she had a log book of customers, but would not reveal its location.  She said that she would steal anything that she can make money off of according to the reports.

Pulliam was then taken back to the jail and booked in on the warrant after questioning.  She is currently being held in the Brown County Jail on $100,000 bond.
