BPDpatchSmallBrownwood Police are investigating the burglary of a local business early Saturday morning.

According to police, an employee of PF&E reported the burglary at approximately 2:51 a.m. Saturday morning after he came to work and noticed that some of the desk drawers were open and papers were scattered in the office.

During an investigation, it was found that drawers of several desks and filing cabinets had been opened and several other items were moved and gone through, according to police.   The owner of the business and his staff responded to the scene and it was reported that at least $100 was missing from a cash drawer and a framed picture from the owner’s office had been cut open with a letter opener, and the picture was stolen from the frame.

Although no arrest has been made, the investigation is ongoing.  Surveillance video showed a large subject wearing a hoodie, possibly gloves and a mask going through the building.  Anyone with information related to this burglary is asked to contact the Brownwood Police Department at 325-646-2525.
