Early High School has started practice for their 2009 football season and already have a full schedule with just a couple of weeks before school officially starts. Here are some important dates that Early Longhorn fans will want to watch out for.
- Saturday August 15th – Varsity, JV, and Freshman teams will scrimmage Lamesa in Sweetwater.
- Monday August 17th – Reserved seating for the general public will go on sale starting at 1pm at the Superintendent’s Office located at 1001 Early Blvd. Tickets are $25 each and will be available for sale until Friday August 21st. Ticket holders for last season can purchase tickets Aug 10 – Aug 14 from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
- Thursday August 20th – Varsity, JV, and Freshman teams will scrimmage Llano in Early.
- Saturday August 29th – Purple Day – Longhorn fans will be introduced to the new athletic teams at the new stadium. 6pm will begin with a hamburger meal and 7pm will begin introduction of the teams. Following will be games and activities such as a dunking booth, inflatable jumping gyms, and a silent auction.
