The Early High School Jazz Band recently performed at the State Capitol in Austin. The performance took place in the main Capitol Rotunda.
After receiving a tour of the capitol, the Jazz Band set to entertain legislators, staffers, guest, and tourists with a wide variety of music ranging from up-tempo swing to popular music of yesteryear. Jason Jones, EHS Jazz Band Director, set up the performance through Representative Jim Keffer’s office.“It was a fantastic experience that these students will never forget,” Jones said. “They were excellent representatives of Early High School, Early ISD, and the entire community of Early.”
