Beginning in the fall of 2013, students at Early High School will have one more thing to celebrate with the opening of a full Registered Nursing program.
In partnership with Ranger College, EHS students will begin their Health Science Program of Study in the 9th grade with introductory classes leading into dual-credit classes their sophomore year.
“By the time our nursing students walk the stage in May of their senior year, they will only need 18 more months to be fully certified as a registered nurse,” explained Ms. Reca Godfrey, Early High School Guidance Counselor.
“Many of our students are interested in a medical career and there is a shortage in the field,” added EHS Principal, Jennifer Kent. “We are passionate about preparing our students for post-secondary education and career success. Students have a great deal to be excited about with many more programs in the development stage.”
