More than 70 Early High School graduates and guests joined the party at the 3M Clubhouse of Brownwood, which has hosted by the graduates families last Saturday after EHS graduation. Grads began arriving at 10:30 pm and partied until 6 am. Thanks to the generosity of the community, every senior who attended Project Graduation received $50 cash.
Project Graduation is a post graduation lock-in for seniors, which allows them to celebrate in a supervised, substance free environment. They also have opportunities to earn prizes and money during the night. The partygoers enjoyed an all night banquet of pizzas, snacks, ice cream sundaes, Dr Pepper slushies and ended with breakfast burritos.
Funds for EHS Project Graduation were raised through various fundraisers beginning in August 2012. EHS seniors created and sold cookbooks, hosted bake sales and volunteered at concessions. EHS Project Graduation hosted the Little Dribblers Tournament with a pie sale. Drive for Your School and a loaded baked potato supper increased the pot.
The headlining entertainment was world renowned Mark Maverick, stage hypnotist. Mark Maverick was originally from England and recently contracted in Las Vegas. Maverick delivered a hilarious, high-energy show filled with exciting surprises. Six partygoers participated under hypnotic suggestion to create an interactive experience. Maverick used the trance like state to create stars of the participants while the audience was awed. The 3m Clubhouse roared with laughter until 1am.
During Project Graduation, parents of grads ran various games from Bingo, Black Jack, Minute to Win it, X-Box tournament, KOXE cash cube and a blow up sports challenge. Graduates topped off the morning with a lip-sync contest at 4am. Five grad girls won Amazon gift cards for their all out rendition of “Party in the USA” from blockbuster Pitch Perfect.
The Early High School graduates of 2013 extend their sincere thanks to the community for their support. Thank you EHS parents of graduates and family members for fundraising, planning and volunteering.
