Early High School just wrapped up their annual canned food drive led by the EHS Key Club to be donated to the Kiwanis Club Christmas food basket project.
A competition was held between the homeroom classes to see who could bring the most cans; the winning class brought an impressive number of 314 cans. Students throughout the school came together to collect a whopping total of over 1,000 cans.
The high school’s Key Club led the drive, collecting the cans for the Kiwanis Club to donate. The Kiwanis will use the cans to make baskets to give to local families for food during the holidays. Next Tuesday night, the Kiwanis, with help from a group of Early Key Clubbers, will deliver the baskets full of canned food to people of the community.
