The Early High School Band is set to participate in their Annual March-a-Thon on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Donated proceeds from this event go to help with future band travel.

The Longhorn Band will be using the same route as last year’s March-a-Thon, ending at Sonic, followed by a short performance at CARE Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The March-a-Thon Route will begin at 8:15 a.m., from Early High School.  The band will proceed south on Sudderth to Sunrise, going west and into the areas of Sundown and Broken Arrow to Garmon Drive.

The route resumes on Meadow Glen in the Fawn Ridge subdivision, and adjacent streets.

The band will continue marching north of 377 along Park Drive and makes the block traveling east on Longhorn Drive, north on Bluebonnet Drive to Crescent and back south to make the block via Longhorn, Park, Grandview, and Sunnyvale.  The March-a-Thon route will end at Sonic.

EHS Band students have been collecting pledges for the March-a-Thon event since August 1, 2014.  Those who wish to donate to the EHS Band, but are not on the March-a-Thon route can do the following:

1. Contact Robert Chapleau (EHS Band Director) at 325-203-7012, for arrangements.

2. Stop by the Early City Hall parking lot between 10:00 am and 10:30 am and see one of the EHS Marching Band’s assistants and put a donation in one of the “marching hats.”

The EHS Band thanks the community of Early, for continued support of the Longhorn Band.
