Early High School will celebrate their 2015 Commencement ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30th. Top graduates were announced recently as Early ISD named Abraham Cooper Valedictorian and Grayson Ebarb Salutatorian of the EHS Class of 2015.

Below are biographies for both top graduates as well as a complete list of the EHS Class of 2015 who will graduate on Saturday.Abraham Fausto Jornada Cooper, son of Charles and Adelie Cooper, has been named the 2014-15 Valedictorian of Early High School. During his time at Early High School, Abe was a member of the JV baseball team and the JV/Varsity tennis team. Abe also participated in the EHS Spanish Club. While at Early High School, Abe has received recognition as the Outstanding Performer at the State UIL Solo and Ensemble competition, Texas Music Scholar Award, Outstanding Marching Band Award, Outstanding Sophomore, Highest Average in Geometry, Outstanding Freshman, Highest Average in Algebra, Highest Average in Biology, as well as several other honors.
As a dual credit student, Abe was a member of Gamma Beta Phi (Howard Payne University) and Phi Theta Kappa (Ranger College). Abe has received numerous awards including several from Howard Payne University. These awards include the Piano Studio Award, Music Theory Award, Highest Average in Physics, Outstanding Physics Student, Highest Average in Music Appreciation, Highest Average in College Algebra, and Highest Average in Human Anatomy and Physiology I.
Abe is very involved in community activities and volunteers his time and musical talents for events such as Empty Bowls, Brownwood Reunion, the Mike Huckabee Pregnancy Care Center Event, Veteran’s Day Luncheon, the Opening Day Gala of the Lyric Theatre, City of Early Firemen’s Ball, and the City-Wide Easter Gathering. Additionally, Abe has served as the pianist for St. Mary’s Catholic Church, May First Baptist Church, and performs at area nursing homes, as well as the Boys and Girls Club.
Abe plans to continue his education at Howard Payne University where he has already amassed 94 college credit hours. While at HPU, he will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Biochemistry as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Piano.
Grayson Hunter Ebarb has been named the 2014-15 Salutatorian for Early High School. Grayson is the son of Tracy Ebarb and Rebecca Pruitt.
Grayson participated in numerous extra-curricular activities including football, basketball, tennis, powerlifting, track, choir, and UIL. He was also a member of Student Council. Grayson received the Elite Academic All-State honor in football his senior year.
Grayson has also volunteered the past 9 years with PUMP. During this time he has built houses, porches, and installed siding for the elderly and economically disadvantaged. Additionally, Grayson has volunteered his time for Meals on Wheels and Good Samaritan.
Grayson plans on attending Texas Christian University in the fall where he will major in strength and conditioning and participate as a Co-Ed Cheerleader.
