City of Early Council Meeting – Tuesday March 26, 2013 – 6 PM at Early City Hall
1. Call to order and invocation.
2. Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Consideration of the minutes of February 12, 2013.
4. Citizen’s comments (the council invites citizens to speak to the council on any topic not already on the agenda. No council action may be taken on these items.)
5. Administer Oath of Office and Law Enforcement Oath to new police officers Sterlin Zwicker and Andres Contreras.
6. Presentation of Medal of Valor to Sergeant Steven Means.
7. Chief of Police David Mercer will give report on racial profiling.
8. Consider a resolution entering finance contract with Government Capital Corporation for purpose of procuring CopSync hardware and software.
9. Consider appointing Early EDC Board member to fill vacancy after Geneva Millhollon’s resignation.
10. Consider approving Early Economic Development funding request of $30,000 to Big G Grocery.
11. Consideration of local church groups utilizing City Park on May 19, 2013 for ‘Celebrating the Community’ Program.
12. Review and consider for approval the City of Early Investment Policy and Strategy as adopted by Ordinance 2005-21, December 13, 2005.
13. Consider adopting an ordinance cancelling the General election for May 11, 2013 and declaring the unopposed candidates elected.
14. Administrator’s report – Water Pipeline Project.
