Early High School choral students had another successful day in the Texas All-State Choir audition process. On Saturday, October 11, 2014, eight EHS choir students traveled to Burleson High School for the second of three rounds of competition.
Advancing to the Region VII District Honor Choir are Elizabeth Rivard and McKenna Towell. TMEA Region Honor Choir members are Samuel Kinnin, Sam Cox, Cassie Durden and Amanda Harris. The third and final audition will be held at Midland-Lee High School in January, 2015.
Serving as alternates to that audition are Sam Cox, Cassie Durden and Amanda Harris. Samuel Kinnin earned a coveted first chair placement and will compete as a candidate for the Texas All-State Choir at Midland-Lee High School.The choral students at Early High School are under the direction of Judy C. Reed, Director of Choral Activities for the Early Independent School District.
