helenPress Release – The Early Chamber of Commerce has selected Helen Tatum as the November Ambassador of the Month. Helen was born in Kempner, Texas, and moved to Early in 1970. Previously she was in the nursing profession and is now since retired.

She continually devotes her time and efforts to the Early Chamber of Commerce. She has been an ambassador since October 2008, has been selected as Ambassador of the Month at least once each year, and was voted by her peers as Ambassador of the Year in 2014.

She can be seen at just about any event where the chamber is involved. She champions for community involvement and encourages all the members of the ambassador club with her enthusiasm.

Sonic Drive-In of Early was selected as the Large Business of the Month for November. Owner Tom Hall sees community involvement as part of what it means to be a good neighbor. Sonic has been a part of the chamber since 2008 and was also previously voted Business of the Month in December 2014. The Early Chamber of Commerce would like to thank them for their continued support for the community, the tidiness of their facility and their excellent customer service.

The November Small Business of the Month is the Boys & Girls Club of Brown County. The local Boys & Girls Club provides a positive place for children to go after school and during the summer. The Boys & Girls club CEO Danny Willingham was presented with the plaque and certificate from State Representative Jim Keffer.

Willingham and his staff are asking the community for toy donations for the children at the Boys & Girls Club. If you would like to drop off a toy, priced $15-$20, visit the club, located at 1701 Ave L in Brownwood.
