The Early Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly luncheon on Friday, May 23rd outlining the topic of “Tourism in Brown County.”
Margaret Hoogstra, Executive Director of Texas Forts Trail, will be the guest speaker during the event. The luncheon will be held Friday, May 23rd at Prima Pasta Italian Restaurant from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM.
As Executive Director of the Texas Forts Trail for 10 years, Margaret Hoogstra works with state agencies, chambers of commerce, convention and visitor bureaus, community development organizations, museums and attractions to increase tourism, support community development and promote historic preservation within a twenty-nine county area.
With over twenty-five years of marketing and public relations experience, Ms Hoogstra has worked for and with an assortment of businesses and non-profit entities and at one time was co-owner of an integrated marketing firm.
She has served on a variety of boards and is a graduate of Leadership Texas, the Southeast Tourism College, Chamber Institute, and Leadership Abilene.
As part of a military family, she has lived in a number of states & several Texas communities. She enjoys history, travel and scrapbooking. Margaret and her husband Bill reside in rural Callahan County (Texas).
A special menu option will be available at the door for $12 which includes lunch with salad, bread, sales tax and tip.
