Earlene Adams, age 83, of Early, went home to the Lord Sunday December 15, 2013. She was born in Brownwood on April 2, 1930. She was a devoted and loving wife to Clyde Adams and dedicated her life to providing a warm and welcome home for her children, family and friends. Earlene Adams married Clyde, the most adoring love of her life for 65 years, on June 28, 1947. They lived in Early for 42 years and had four children.
Earlene had a great sense of humor and welcomed everyone into her home where she continuously cooked for her friends, family and especially loved cooking for her nieces and nephews. She loved to entertain and continued to keep people laughing to the end of her life. She loved playing games, singing with her family and her nephews and keeping her family close which was a standard through the years. And “Of Course” she loved talking as everybody that knew her knows. She loved the ladies that tended to her at the nursing home and will never be forgotten.
Earlene is survived by four children Donald Adams and wife Sharon of Brownwood, Bonnie Kelly and husband Tootie of Lake Brownwood, Pam Ellis and husband Lewis of Brownwood, and James Adams and wife Shannon of Early. She is survived by ten grandchildren Ron Adams, Amy Adams Elliott, Michael Reid, Jeremy Hall, Bryan Adams, Tyler Adams, Colby Adams, Kitten Kelly, Craigan Ellis, Mason Ellis and Dillon Ellis. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Adams, mother, father three sisters and her oldest grandson.
Funeral services for Earlene will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
