Earl Gene Cunningham, age 66, of Blanket passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at home with his family by his side.
Graveside services for Earl will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Fife Cemetery in Fife, Texas, with Bill Slaymaker officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 at Blaylock Funeral Home.
Earl was born on January 9, 1947 to Mody and Mary Ellen (Bond) Cunningham in Brownwood. He and his wife, Cathy, of 38 years married on November 15, 1974 in Brown County. Earl was a mechanic in Brown County for many years; his favorite thing to work on was lawnmowers.
Earl is survived by his wife, Cathy Cunningham; daughters, Sabrina Garza and husband Isaias of Brownwood, Elaine Fenton of Brownwood, and Debbie Thompson of Conroe, Texas; son Marty Cunningham of Brownwood; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters Marquerite Caraway, Mildred Wade, and Marian Morgan.He is preceded by his parents; and one brother, Wilburn Cunningham.
