Emergency responders were called to the area of Magnolia and 14th Street regarding a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 4:10pm, a male driver of a motorcycle was injured as his bike skidded around the corner of the intersection.  The cause of the accident was not released at the scene.

The male driver’s injuries were not life threatening according to emergency responders, but they stated that he was “hurt pretty bad.”  Emergency responders stated that it appeared the male had been wearing his helmet when the accident occurred.  The motorcycle seemed to be in one piece; however there were obvious skid marks in the roadway.

The driver was transported by Guardian EMS to Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room for evaluation and treatment of his injuries.  The extent of the injuries was not available at the scene.

Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
