The Texas Department of Public Safety is continuing their investigation of the fatal two-vehicle accident that occurred Monday evening at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Avenue J.
Traffic was blocked off Thursday morning as DPS troopers took digital measurements at the scene of the accident. 21-year-old Jose Guadalupe Martinez of Brownwood was killed as a result of the collision between the passenger car that he was driving and an older model Chevy pickup.Funeral Services for Martinez are scheduled for 10:00am Friday, August 24th at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with burial to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.
