Wayne Doyle Tomlinson, age 66, of Brownwood, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at his home. The family will hold private services at a later date.
Wayne Doyle Tomlinson was born June 15, 1945 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Roy and Fay (Brown) Tomlinson. He grew up in Lamesa and graduated high school there in 1964. Wayne was an AKC field trial judge, and he raised and trained German short-hair dogs at his place in Brownwood, where he had lived for the past nine years.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Barry Tomlinson of Lamesa and Kristi and Don Miller of Lamesa; grandchildren, A.J. Tomlinson of Lamesa and Lindy Miller of Lamesa; brothers and sisters, Kenneth and Sherry Tomlinson of Trophy Club, Zelma and Johnny Irons of Snyder and Jeanette and Danny Hollman of Odessa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Fay Tomlinson.
The family requests memorials be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or the Gideons.
