A memorial service for Douglas Wayne “Jack” Massey, age 81, of Lake Brownwood, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Lake Brownwood, Texas.

He passed away in Brownwood on Sept. 5, 2012, after a brief illness.

He grew up and lived most of his adult life in Plainview, where he retired as an engineer with Southwestern Public Service.

He is survived by Lenora Tisdale Massey, his wife of 62 years; five sons, Billy and wife Debbie of Lake Brownwood, Lonnie and wife Robin of Fort Worth, Terry and wife Karen of Amarillo, Daryl and wife Pat of Chesapeake Va., and Wren of Houston; sister, Alma McCourt of Havana Ark.; brother, Perry Massey of Albuquerque N.M.; brother-in-law, Gilbert Bowman; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Carnes and Edna Massey; a sister, Imogene Bowman; and brother-in-law, Melvin McCourt.
