Dorothy Nell Sikes was born on July 15, 1916 in Brownwood, Texas to Will and Pearl Cunningham. She was a member of the Belle Plain Baptist Church in Brownwood. Dorothy played the piano for many years. She also taught piano lessons and played for many weddings and funerals throughout the years. After her husband, Arlas Sikes, passed away Dorothy moved to San Angelo where she was cared for by H.L., Emily and Vince Sikes.
Graveside services for Dorothy Nell Sikes, will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood with Bro. Bill Slaymaker officiating. A visitation will be held after lunch on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Blaylock Funeral Home. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
