Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Painter will be Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Heartland Funeral Chapel Early, Texas. Interment will follow at Zephyr Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Painter passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center at the age of 90 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born March 1, 1924 in Breckenridge Texas to Viron and Zuella Golden. She has lived in the Zephyr area for 57 years. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her hobbies were gardening, canning, sewing, plants and flowers.
Dorothy is survived by one son Eugene and wife Judy Painter of Zephyr, two daughter’s; Lynda and husband Bob Hallum of Early, Shirley and husband Jack Miller of Zephyr, one brother Claude Golden of Phoenix, Arizona and one sister Joy Cornelius of Zephyr. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great great- grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Painter in September 1995, her parents Viron and Zuella Golden.
