Dorothy Lee Smith passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Perham, Minnesota. Graveside service for Dorothy Lee Smith, 90, of Perham, Minnesota formerly of Brownwood, Texas will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015, 10:00 AM at Eastlawn Memorial Park, Early, Texas with Pastor Richard Ivy officiating.
Mrs. Smith was born March 6, 1925 at Zephyr, Texas to Allen Grant Hanks and Susie Jane Morgan Hanks and had lived in Brownwood since 1970. She later moved to Perham, Minnesota to be with her daughter. She was married to Johnny W. Smith on October 19, 1946. She was a very faithful and active member of Avenue D Baptist Church for many years.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Vicki Happel and son-in-law Chris of Perham, Minnesota; a grandson Theodore Happel; two nephews and four nieces.
Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Susie Hanks, one sister Allene Hanks, one brother H.E. Hanks, and one nephew, Wayne Hanks.
