Funeral services for Dorothy Jean Mason, age 80, of Blanket, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the New Testament Holiness Church in Bangs. Burial will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Ms. Mason passed from this life on Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Brownwood.
Dorothy Jean Traylor was born on August 14, 1939 in Gordon to Winnie Louise (Sherlock) and Wesley William Traylor. Dorothy had been a resident of Brown County since 1979. She was a homemaker and co-pastored Tabernacle of Faith. Dorothy touched many lives in her service to the Lord.
Dorothy is survived by a son, Chuck Mason and wife Patti of Brownwood; two grandsons, Wesley Dale Mason and Charles Thomas Mason; four great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
