Doris Lee Tucker Henexson, 89, went to be with her Lord on January 21, 2014, at her home in Gun Barrel City, Texas. Visitation for Mrs. Henexson will be from 6 – 8 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Davis-Morris. Services will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Doris Lee Tucker was born on February 19, 1924, to Jim and Janie Tucker in Brown County. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She played piano for over 30 years at Bethlehem Baptist Church at Mesquite, Texas. Doris worked until she was 75 years of age. Upon her retirement, she moved to Gun Barrel City, Texas, where she loved watching wildlife, quilting and reading.
Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Gwen Henexson; her parents Jim and Janie Tucker; three brothers, Edward, James, and Sterling Tucker; three sisters, Dorothy Chapman (her twin), Alene Drinkard, and Imogene Napier.
Doris is survived by two sisters, Juanita Bradley, and Cleo Smith of Brownwood; her brother-in-law Jerry Drinkard; her seven children, Ronald Henexson, Randal and Barbara Henexson, Larry and Vickie Henexson, Gary and Janenne Henexson, Kenneth and Michelle Henexson; two daughters, Debbie and Roy Bray, Dolores and Robert Campbell.
