Doris Elaine Neill completed her life’s journey Thursday, February 22 at the age of 81. Heaven’s Host welcomed her home. Her Father said, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”

Visitation will be Sunday, February 25 from 4-6 pm at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Services will also be held at Heartland Funeral Home Monday, February 26 at 10 am. Graveside services will be at 3 pm at Simpson Cemetery in Kokomo.

Doris was born July 9, 1936 in Eastland, Tx to E.W. “Bud” Lovell and Lila Wharton Lovell. She graduated from Monahans High School and married the love of her life, Joe Arthur Neill on July 25, 1954 in Hobbs, NM.

Most of her career was at Midland Memorial Hospital where she was awarded for creating the hospital motto “Personally We Care, Professionally We Serve”. She enjoyed traveling, eating out, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Her greatest love was teaching children in Sunday School. Reading God’s Word was her breath of life.

She is survived by her sisters, Sheron Graham of Early and Eve Lovell of Rising Star, her sister-in-law, Faye Wolfe, nieces Brandy Miller of Holland, Tx and Shanna Halfon of Orange City, Fl, nephews Travis Battreal of Rising Star and Billy Joe Graham of Blanket, as well as many other nieces, nephews, 4 great nieces and 6 great nephews, 1 great-great niece and 5 great-great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Lovell, and her brother-in-law Billy L. Graham.
