Funeral services for Donnie Wayne Clepper, 65, of Early will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 18 at the Heartland Funeral Home with the Reverend Ruben Packer officiating. Interment will be at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00-7:30 pm. at the funeral home.
He passed away Wednesday morning at the Brownwood Regional Hospital following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born July 23, 1944 in Andrews, TX to Elby and Lela Clepper. He was married to Linda Haynes in Roscoe, TX on June 23, 1962. He worked as a carpenter and craftsman in the Brownwood area for the past forty years. He was very creative and mastered any craft he attempted.
He was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church where he led the singing for the past several years. He dearly loved his grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their activities.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda of Early; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Joe King of Early; daughter and son-in-law Lori and Tim Pavlas of Bryan, TX; grandchildren Cameron, Tucker, and Brady King of Early; Paris Pavlas of Bryan; sister Nona Owens of Franklin, OH; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
