Donald Robert Brusenhan was born November 1, 1930 in Coleman County, TX and died March 6, 2014 in Brown County, TX. Don was predeceased by his first wife and mother of all four children, Jean Breeding; his son R. D. Brusenhan; his son-in-law Brian Moon; his daughter-in-law Cindy Brusenhan; his brother Gene; his sister Ernestine; his sister-in-law Zoe; and his parents Ernest and Cleo.
Don is survived by his children Bill (Marynell) Brusenhan, DJ (Ron) Sanders, Judy Moon, and daughter-in-law Ruby Brusenhan as well as his brothers Jim (Sue) and Wayne Brusenhan.
Don had 10 grandchildren: Bobby, Mike, Ashley, Brad, Brian, Travis, Troy, T Jay, Jayme and Amy as well as 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Don retired from Mobil Corp. after a career that lasted over 40 years that took him and his family to Kansas, Louisiana and Texas, as well as a 2 year assignment in Libya.
Don retired to Lake Brownwood in the late 1980’s and made Brown County his home.
Don’s family, as well as his many friends from Mobil and the Lake Brownwood area, will miss the fun times. Don’s family and close friends held a memorial service and celebration of life at his home at Lake Brownwood on Saturday, March 15.
