Donald (Doc) Aubrey Graves, age 83, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at his home in Early. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 5th, 2017 at the Hampton Inn in Brownwood with Froilan Reyes officiating.
Doc was born in Arlie, Texas on July 10, 1934 to John and Mayfair Graves and graduated from High School in Sudan, Texas where he was voted most congenial of his senior class. This was his personality throughout his entire life. Doc loved working and tinkering in his welding/machine shop which he built himself twenty five years ago.
Survivors include his wife of fifty nine years Betty; two children Donald A. Graves Jr and Michelle Rodriguez; three grandchildren Lacy Anderson, Heather Castaneda and Michael Rodriguez; five great grandchildren, Erin Anderson, Emily Anderson, Aliyah Rodriguez, Avah Castaneda and Adren Castaneda; two sisters, Sue Whiteaker and Fernella Gilcrease and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers Bennie Graves, Jimmy Graves, Gayland Graves, Arlon Graves and Rex Graves.
