A Memorial Service for Don Bartee, age 86, of Lake Brownwood, Texas will be held at a later date in Oklahoma. Mr. Bartee passed away February 22, 2017 in a Brownwood Nursing Home.
Don was born November 5, 1930 in Carter, OK to Oscar and Vera (Boon) Bartee. While a student in high school, Don enlisted into the United States Air Force in Oklahoma City Oklahoma and was honorably discharged on July 3, 1946 in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Soon after, he began his career with the Civil Service working for the United States Government. After retirement, Don enjoyed fishing and camping at coast.
Survivors include his children, Terry Bartee of Bangs, Texas, Michael Bartee of Granbury, Texas, and Donna Butler of Saginaw, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty June Bartee and a son Rick Bartee.
