One re-elected and two newly elected directors took their seats on Tuesday at the Brown County Water Improvement District #1 board.
Long-time director Stuart Coleman was re-elected in the May 12th election while newcomers Dennis Graham and Dr. Johnny Hays were elected by a sizable margin of the votes. All three men took the Oath of Office Tuesday, administered by the district’s attorney Bill Bell.
The board also elected new officers selecting Mark Campbell as president, Dr. Johnny Hays as vice president, and Dennis Graham as secretary.
Board members said that they will look at the current makeup of the district’s committees and assign members to those committees at their next meeting on June 12th.
J.Y. Timmins and Pierre Osbourn, who were defeated in the election, were recognized for their years of service to the board as directors at the meeting’s conclusion.
