Graveside services for Derril Jay Hobbs, age 69, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. He passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in Brownwood.
Derril was born on July 13, 1944 in Gorman, Texas to James Cecil and Vivian Vincent Hobbs.
Survivors include his mother Vivian Linville and spouse Norman Barron of Brownwood, son Andrew Jay Hobbs of Cisco, daughter Lavada Marie McDaniel of Early, brothers Milton Royce Hobbs of Brownwood and Cecil Carl Hobbs of Abilene, sisters Reba Meyers of Porter, Texas and Alda Yearian of Abilene.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother Terrill Ray Hobbs and one sister Hazel Marie Coats.Friends are invited to sign the guestbook at www.heartlandfuneralhome.net.
