Denver Doyle Watkins, born July 8, 1962, passed away January 31, 2015 at Mulberry Manor Nursing Home in Stephenville, TX.
Denver was born to Robert and Louise Watkins in Brownwood, TX. He attended San Saba High School. He went on to work in the oil fields and in later years owned his own painting and lawn care business in San Saba, TX. Denver loved to hunt and fish. He loved to share big hunting and fishing stories.
Denver is survived by his wife, Machalle Watkins of Stephenville; 2 daughters, Amanda Brannon of Warren, Ohio and Sierra Atwater of Stephenville; granddaughters, Aniya Bunch, Angileea Brannon, Apple Brannon, and Lexi Atwater; mother, Louise Watkins; and brother, Kenneth Watkins of Granite Shoals, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and special friends, AJ Sewell and Allen Sexton and his daughter Ali Sexton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Harvey Watkins; brother, Robert Henry Watkins; one infant son, Denver Doyle Watkins, JR., and niece, Stephanie Watkins Dubose.Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel of San Saba with Bro. Sam Crosby officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date.
