Dennis Wynne, 79, of Rising Star passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Book of Acts Now Church, 1800 Belle Plain Brownwood, Texas 76801.

Dennis Wynne was born August 23, 1940 to Eugene and Willie Mae Wynne in Alpine, Texas.  He attended school at Alpine High School and went to Angelo State University.  Dennis married Barbara Sue Nutt in December 1966 and they began a life together that blessed them with one son.  Dennis served in the US Navy after high school and once fired a cannon for President Kennedy at Alameda Naval Base.  He worked as a Superintendent for Texas State Park division.  He began his career in Brownwood at the State park before becoming a Superintendent and serving at four other parks across Texas. Dennis also served as a minister of the gospel.  His hobby was loving people with a godly love.  He loved to ride and care for horses and was fond of introducing himself by saying “Dennis is my name & menace is not my game.”  He believed in the power of prayer.

Dennis is survived by his son, Clint and wife Sandra Wynne of Rising Star; sisters, Billie and husband Truman Murdoch of Morton, Judy and husband Lewis Green of Lovington, NM, and Mary and husband Jay Trammell of Brownwood; and brother, Randy Wynne of Houston.
