DennisGleatonDennis Ray Gleaton, beloved husband, Father, PaPa and friend passed from this earthly life into his loving Heavenly Father’s arms on July 9, 2010 after a long struggle with a serious illness, during which he continued to show such love and strength.  Dennis had such a gift of laughter and was a delight to everyone that knew him.  He had a love for all the holiday seasons, especially Christmas.  He shared his love for Christmas with everyone he knew.  He made Christmas such a bright and wonderful time for all his family and friends.

A visitation will be held 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Heartland Funeral Home.  Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Early Church of Christ with interment to follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery.

Dennis was born to Ray and Joetta Gleaton in Brownwood, Texas on July 13, 1942 and was a 1960 graduate of Brownwood High School.  He loved those Brownwood Lions and was an avid supporter of the Early Longhorns.   Dennis was a member of the Early Church of Christ.  He loved the wonderful youth group that made many days brighter for him.   Dennis was retired from Superior Cable, Brownwood, Texas.

Dennis is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Norlene, two sons, Michael Gleaton, Todd Gleaton and wife Kristy, a daughter Alicia Pool and husband Gene.  He is also survived by 6 wonderful grandchildren, Garrett and Ashley Gleaton, Preston and Colton Gleaton, Cameron and Adam Pool.  Spending time with the grandchildren always made him smile and were the joy of his life.  He is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Don Gleaton, Sam Gleaton and wife Jan, three sisters, Caroline Gleaton, Sandra Wall and husband Joe, Elizabeth Hamilton and husband Gregory, two brothers-in-law, Waverly Parsons, and wife Brenda, Walter Parsons and wife Dee, his mother-in-law Doris Parsons, and nieces, nephews and a world of loving friends

A special thanks to Lighthouse Hospice and nurses Jennifer Lowe and Theresa James and his special caregiver Mae Jones for their wonderful care and love. Also, to our precious Dr. Mark Martin, for his constant love and care.
