Graveside Services for Delia Blankinship, age 84 will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday December 29th 2011, at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Texas with Davis-Morris Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and Brother Ruben Packer officiating.
She went home to be with Jesus, Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
Delia was born on January 17, 1927 to Virgil and Rose Ettie Pierce. She married Walter Fulcher and had six children. On July 12, 1962 she married Raymond Blankinship and they had one son, Michael. They were married 45 years. Delia and Raymond raised seven children in Brownwood and had moved to Blanket a few years ago. Raymond passed away on January 05, 2007. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and had attended Salt Creek Baptist Church.
Delia was the name she was known by but, her family knew her as “Momma” and “Granny”. She loved her kids and grandkids. She will really be missed by all of us.
Survivors include one daughter Barbara Lorah and husband Robert of Bangs, six sons Tommy Fulcher and wife Donna of Blanket, Lynn Fulcher and wife Rindy of Bangs, Billy Fulcher and wife Sherry of Brownwood, Joe Fulcher of Brownwood, Jimmy Fulcher and Michael Blankinship of Blanket; 14 grandchildren: Stefanie, Cassidy, Shae, Brad, Gary, Sunshine, Stephen, Erik, Chad, Tonya, Aaron, Priscilla, Jennifer and Lisa; 28 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and two Brothers O.V. Pierce and Calvin Pierce. The family will have a visitation on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.davismorrisfuneralhome.com
