Brownwood News – A wreck between a small car and a Mack truck took the life of a DeLeon woman Monday, October 28. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at 11:10 am on State Highway 16, .9 miles south of DeLeon in Comanche County.
Diana Lynn Hughes, 71, of DeLeon was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the DPS report, Hughes was driving a 2007 Ford Focus and was traveling South on SH 16. While negotiating a curve, Hughes went into the northbound lane and crashed into a 2016 Mack truck. The driver of the truck was Armando Deluna, 60, of Brownwood. He was treated and released from Comanche County Medical Center.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The crash is under investigation.
