The Texas Society of Infection Control & Prevention (TSICP) is a non-profit professional group founded 34 years ago to educate Infection Preventionists in Texas and to promote evidence-based infection prevention and control practices in Texas.  TSICP has a unique niche in Texas as the only Infection Control Society that is dedicated to address Texas specific infection control concerns, legislative issues, community issues and education.  TSICP and its members have conducted 33 consecutive, successful annual educational seminars for Texas Infection Preventionists, impacted legislation in Texas, served as expert witnesses, and continue to pursue a liaison with the Texas Department of State Health Services districts.  TSICP conducts three additional training programs a year for IPs in Texas, as well as other states.  IPs come from as far away as Alaska to attend TSICP training courses.

TSICP has always had outstanding Infection Preventionists who are willing to lend their time, talents, and knowledge to the TSICP Board of Directors in order to help assure the very best and latest education in the field is available to our members.  In addition, the members of the Board are eager to mentor people who are new to Infection Prevention and Control.

BRMC, TSICP and the community of Brownwood would like to congratulate Shannon Young DeLaCruz on her achievements.
