Debbie L. Sliger, age 54, of Brownwood went home to be with her parents and nephew on January 25, 2012. She was born on April 11, 1957 to Floyd “Pete” King and Betty Crelia King in Goldthwaite, Texas. Debbie attended Zephyr High School and graduated from Brownwood Beauty College. She was a Baptist and attended Victory Life Church. Debbie loved the Lord and reading scripture. She will best be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons: Jason King & wife, Savannah of Giddings, and Jesse Sliger & wife, Alicia of Brownwood; her grandchildren: Morgan & Keltzi King, Jesslyn & Noah Sliger, and Aspyn of Santa Anna; her brothers and sisters: Mike King & wife, Carolyn of Brownwood, Ricky King of Blanket, Karen Bufe & husband, Gary of Zephyr, Kayla King Wood & husband, Johnny of Brownwood, Randy King & wife, Paula of Early, Jeff King & wife, Mary of Zephyr, Marilyn Rockafellow & husband, John of Zephyr, Kenny King & wife, Shana of Zephyr; numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Pete & Betty King, and a nephew, Brad Bufe.
Funeral services for Debbie L. Sliger will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Blaylock Funeral Home with Steve Baker officiating, burial to follow in Zephyr Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Mike King, Ricky King, Randy King, Jeff King, Kenny King, John Rockafellow and Gary Bufe. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Jason King and Jesse Sliger. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Blaylock Funeral Home. The family asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Caden Boyle c/o Texas Bank, 400 Fisk Avenue, Brownwood, Texas 76801. Arrangements under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
