Funeral Services for D’avion Wasson, age 17 of Brownwood will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Victory Life Church in Brownwood. Interment will follow in Greenleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday at Heartland Funeral Home.
D’avion Drell Wasson was born on November 3, 1998 in Brownwood, TX to Angel and Randy Jones. He was such a gifted and talented young man in every aspect. When it came to dancing, it came natural he knew every dance move made to mankind. When it came to sports, it was his life, that’s all he thought about, basketball was his everything. He’s had a ball in his hand since he was a toddler. He was so competitive always challenging someone to do it better. His other passion was animals and he loved all types. His last pet was a turtle named “No Name” …lol. His high pitched laugh was infectious. He had a love and respect for people like no other, always showing his concern, wanting to help others. He was part of the youth ministry at his church. He’s always involved in what the church was doing. He also had a passion for music. He had lyrics written to rap songs that he hoped to one day perform. He was so special to everyone who met him a light to this world. He will be greatly missed.
