Darold Beck, Sr., 75, of Brownwood passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in Fort Worth. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am, Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel; the services will be officiated by Todd King, with burial following in Eastlawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 25, 2016, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
Darold Weyman Beck, Sr. was born August 12, 1940, in Cleburne, TX, to his parents, Felbert and Ruby Doris (Gore) Beck. He attended Howard Payne University and met and married Nancy Meyers in September of 1961. In 1979, Darold started B&B Exterminating. He was an extremely hard worker and was involved in many different organizations including serving on the Brown County Water Improvement District board. Darold was also an active member of the Lake Dam Volunteer Fire Department and a longtime member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. He was also an avid sports fan; routing for the Rangers, the Cowboys, and the Mavericks. Darold also enjoyed being outdoors sitting on his dock and fishing; and had a great fondness for Blue Bell ice cream. He absolutely adored his grandchildren to whom he was known as “PawPaw”. Darold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend; he will be dearly missed by all those who knew him and loved him.
Darold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Beck; his son, Darold Beck, Jr.; and his brother, Ronnel Beck.
Darold leaves, to cherish his memory, his children, Brenda Johnson and husband, William and Michael Beck and wife, Teana; his grandchildren, Jennifer Rivard, Ben Woods, Lindsey Woods, Garrett Woods, Grace Johnson, Christopher Beck, Sonny Beck, Tiffany Beck, Chance Beck, Brandy Bradley, Bryttanie McRee, Taylor Beck, and Destiny Salazar; twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
