A Celebration of Life for Danny Dewayne York, age 34, of Early will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Baker officiating; a private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Danny passed away suddenly Saturday, August 15, 2015 in an ATV accident. Danny will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Danny was born on October 24, 1980 in Dallas, Texas to Rhonda Combs. Danny went to Mullin ISD, where he is well-known for being an all-star athlete excelling in several sports; he graduated in 1999. Upon high school, he went to Hill College in Hillsboro for a year.
Danny joined the United States Army and was stationed in Ft. Riley, Kansas, Ft. Hood, Texas, and Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He served 3 tours in Iraq and was a Tanker. Danny left the Army after serving for 12 years at the rank of Sergeant.
Danny married, Isabel Salinas, on August 19, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was currently employed with the Brownwood Post Office. Danny loved his kids, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Danny leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Isabel York of Early; children, Hayden York (14), Donovyn York (4), Camryn Bills (12), and Ricky Landon Waddell (9); father, Warren Cable of Bluntville, TN; brother, David York of Mullin; aunt, Sissy Pafford of Zephyr; uncle Bill Tippie of Mullin; best friends, Scott Mears, Charles Pulliam, and Ricky Waddell; and his Army Brothers. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Combs; grandparents; and an aunt, Linda Tippie.
