Danny and Brenda Armstrong of Brownwood have the honor of being named the 2012 West Region ‘2 of Us Couples Anglers of the Year.’ For the tournament season, they had three first place wins, two second place wins and one third place win which kept them in the lead all season. Danny won Men’s Big Bass twice during the season and Brenda his wife won Women’s Big Bass one time during the season. They were a great team bringing in their limit of 5 fish in 5 out of 6 tournaments.
By winning Anglers of the Year they will have their entry fees paid for the 2013 ‘2 of Us Couples’ tournament season and will be given an award at the ‘2 of Us Championships’ to be held on Lake Palestine in October.
The last regular tournament of the season was held on Saturday, June 30th, and although O H Ivie is low, there is lots of big fish still to be caught as Logan McDonald and Natalie Teveni of San Angelo (pictured above) proved when they won the ‘2 of Us Couples West Region Tournament’ with a 5 fish stringer weighing in at 21.36 lbs. Logan McDonald won the Men’s Big Bass with his nice bass weighing in at 10 lbs and Natalie Teveni won the Women’s Big Bass with her bass weighing 1.83 lbs.
Logan’s Big Bass and Natalie’s Big Bass were the highlight of the day as it was Natalie’s first fish she has ever caught and of course everyone was in awe over Logan’s 10 lb bass.

4th place with 5.44 lbs Gary Webb and Phyllis Crable
This was the last tournament of the year before the Championships in October on Lake Palestine. There are 5 teams that qualified to go to the championships.
