Dale Williams Palmer, age 86, of Early died Sunday morning at her home following an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Benny M. Allcorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Park.

She was born June 24, 1924 in May, Texas the daughter of the late Dewey and Pauline LeMaster Williams. She graduated from May High School. She later married Paul Lindley Palmer on March 26, 1953 in Abilene. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2008.

She worked for several years for the First National Bank of Brownwood and later for the J. R. Beadel Co. She also served as the bookkeeper and partner in her husband’s construction company.

Dale was a former member of the Early Lions Club, the Lake Brownwood Lions Club, and more recently the newly formed Brown County Lions Club. She was an active supporter of the Kerrville Lions Camp. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Early. She had been a resident of Brown County most of her life except for a short time in Abilene.

Dale was a very generous person to those she loved and truly loved those she did. She had a very compassionate heart for her four legged friends.

She is survived by several cousins and her very special friends, Rogers and Nancy Byler and Dixie.
