DQ_remodelMany faithful patrons of Dairy Queen in Brownwood are patiently waiting and watching as remodeling continues.

The restaurant located at 1620 Austin Avenue began an extensive interior and exterior remodeling project last month.  While the initial phase of the project allowed the Dairy Queen to remain open for business, recently the store had to temporarily close to work on the interior changes.

Store manager Louise Wood said that if everything goes according to plan, they will be able to re-open for business again the week after Thanksgiving.

In the meantime, DQ is looking for some new employees to help run the new and improved restaurant.  To help in the hiring effort, DQ is holding a “Job Fair” on November 11th at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce.

Wood said, “Applications can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce. They must be completed and returned back to the Chamber no later than 5 pm on Monday.”

Anyone interested can go to the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce located at the Depot and pick up an application.
