Because he knows that money doesn’t grow on trees and we know that he’s not made out of money, scrap the tie and give dad a gift he’s sure to appreciate: food for those less fortunate in your community!
Bring non-perishable food items for the Good Samaritan Ministries food pantry!
Show him you appreciate all those times he didn’t turn that car around and, even though you’re pretty sure it really didn’t hurt him as much as it hurt you, show some love anyway!
Of course, dad knows what it’s like to fall on hard times. He did, after all, have to walk to school barefoot in the snow uphill both ways. And even though he has had worse injuries on his eye ball, we know deep down he’d love to help.
And while you can’t have Champaign taste with a beer pocket book, you can buy cans with one!
Come on! Say yes! Speak up, we can’t hear your head rattle!
We know what happens when you wish in one hand and spit in the other, but we really hope you can get behind this idea. Because we’re pretty sure that back in his day, dad would have done the same.
In the end, we know that everything will be alright so we’ll stop crying before we have something to cry about!
Show some love for dad by giving a gift of food to the GSM food pantry at 305 Clark Street or make a monetary donation in your father’s honor or in his memory. Bring it by or mail it to P.O. Box 1136, Brownwood, TX 76804. And if your dad had any special pearls of wisdom, send it in, too! We’d love to hear them!
Current needs include: cold cereal, peanut butter, fruit juice, canned soup, canned beef stew, tuna, Vienna sausages.
