One Howard Payne University Homecoming tradition that students and alumni can look forward to each year is the homecoming parade & this year was no exception.
The parade featured special guests such as Coming Home Queen Bernice Porter, Medal of Service Recipient Joy Ivy, and HPU President Bill Ellis just to name a few.
Floats were put together by various Howard Payne groups and organizations. There was even a truck load of 1980’s alumni riding along for the fun.
The parade traveled through downtown Saturday morning and found its way from the Coliseum and down Center Avenue to end on Fisk Street at the HPU campus. The HPU campus parade route was packed with people to watch the fun & there was plenty of candy being handed out for the kids.
