Brownwood News – In a statement on the Cross Plains ISD website – Cross Plains ISD will be extending the closure of all facilities indefinitely. We are not setting a date of when we will be back to allow parents to plan and prepare for an extended closure, but we will re-evaluate weekly to determine when it is safe for students to return to school.

CPISD will be following the guidance of TEA, UIL, the CDC, along with other government officials to make these decisions based on facts not fears.

CPISD will be changing instruction to home based instruction until we are able to return to regular classes. This does not mean that instruction and learning are optional, students will be accountable for information during this instruction time. We must continue instruction and learning for students in order to ensure they are prepared to return to school whenever that is deemed safe.

Cross Plains ISD will now be able to feed any child 0-18 years old for breakfast and lunch free of charge. If you are needing meals please sign up on the Cross Plains ISD website or email @ meals@cplains.esc14.net or call 325-370-4537 daily for meal service.

We will be posting more information soon on procedures for students curriculum packet pick up and online information for classes. Please stay tuned to our Remind 101 app, our facebook pages, and the Cross Plains ISD website for more details coming your way soon.

Thank you for your patience and understanding and take care.
